It is our pleasure to announce the 2nd MCLS Conference, following the success of the 1st MCLS Conference at 2015. The 1st MCLS was a joint conference organized by Universitas Airlangga and Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University. In addition to those two institutions, this current MCLS conference is also supported by the Protein Crystallography Group, University of Groningen.

Life science contributes in solving major problems, especially in the fields of biotechnology and medicine. The 2nd MCLS Conference would involve keynote speeches about interfaces among life science researches, biotechnological industries, and government policies. The conference would also include plenary lectures in structural biology, biomolecular modelling, and biomolecular dynamics by expertise in the fields. Furthermore, this conference is designed to facilitate scientists and professionals to share and discuss their research, in an international atmosphere, with oral or poster presentations. We also encourage students to present their research achievements. The topics covered are particularly structural biology, biomolecular modelling, and biomolecular dynamics and their applications in biotechnology and medicine. However, the conference also accommodate any topics in life science research. In order to spread the seminar outcomes, selected papers will be published in an international journal.

The MCLS 2017 would be officially held for two days (17-18 July 2017) in the Wyndham Hotel, Surabaya, Indonesia. We believe that this international event will expand our horizon in life science, especially in the field of structural biology. Therefore, we cordially invite you (again) to attend the conference.
