Universitas Airlangga Periode 2025-2030
The Institute of Tropical Disease, Universitas Airlangga (ITD UA), originated from a research collaboration with Kobe University, Japan, under the Large-Scale Collaborative Study scheme. Initially known as the Tropical Disease Research Center (TDRC), the unit later expanded to include diagnostic services through the Tropical Disease Diagnostic Center (TDDC), leading to its reorganization as the Tropical Disease Center (TDC). In 2008, TDC was officially designated as an institute under the direct supervision of the Rector of Universitas Airlangga. Supported by strong international collaborations, ITD UA has since become a leading center for tropical and infectious disease research and specialized diagnostics, hosting postgraduate researchers from Indonesia and abroad.
