Anti-HCV Bioassay Division
NPMRD is an Universitas Airlangga research center that focused on research about drug discovery and medicine development from natural resources. It was developed to support the research collaboration between Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, and Kobe University, Japan, granted by JICA/JST SATREPS (2010-2014). In the effort to find a medicine, c-NPMRD combines the best science and technology in pharmacy, chemistry, biology, and medical fields, supported by reliable equipment and staff.
Achievement
Plants which explored from some area of East Java and East Kalimantan were screened for their anti-HCV activities by cell culture using Huh7it cell infected with JFH1a HCV. The result showed several potential candidates of active plants.

• In vitro anti-HCV activity of plants extracts, fractions, and isolated compounds by cell culture using Huh7it cell infected with JFH1a HCV.
• In vitro cytotoxicity of plants extracts, fractions, and isolated compounds using MTT assay.
