Phytopharmaceutical Division
NPMRD is an Universitas Airlangga research center that focused on research about drug discovery and medicine development from natural resources. It was developed to support the research collaboration between Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, and Kobe University, Japan, granted by JICA/JST SATREPS (2010-2014). In the effort to find a medicine, c-NPMRD combines the best science and technology in pharmacy, chemistry, biology, and medical fields, supported by reliable equipment and staff.
Achievement
• Developed phytopharmaceutical from Artocarpus champeden stembark extract as antimalarial in capsule dosage form.
• Developed phytopharmaceutical of ethyl acetate fraction from Andrographis paniculata as antimalarial in tablet dosage form, namely AS201-01 tablet.
• Developed phytopharmaceutical of ethyl acetate fraction from Andrographis paniculata as analgesic and antipyretics in tablet dosage form, namely AS201-01 tablet.
• Prototype APPHYN capsule from combination of Andrographis paniculata and Phyllanthus niruri extracts as immunomodulatory supplement.
• Prototype BICURMIN capsule from combination of Curcuma domestica and Curcuma Xanthorriza extracts as hepatoprotector supplement.
